📋 Veterinary Administration & Dosage Guidelines
Bravecto Spot-On for Cats must be selected strictly according to your cat's current body weight. Do not underdose or divide a single pipette between multiple animals.
Available Weight Categories (Select your variant):
- Small Cats (2.6 – 6.2 lbs / 1.2 – 2.8 kg): Contains 112.5 mg Fluralaner
- Medium Cats (>6.2 – 13.8 lbs / >2.8 – 6.25 kg): Contains 250 mg Fluralaner
- Large Cats (>13.8 – 27.5 lbs / >6.25 – 12.5 kg): Contains 500 mg Fluralaner
- Note: For cats weighing over 12.5 kg, use an appropriate combination of two pipettes that closest matches their total body weight.
How to Apply:
- Remove the pipette from the pouch. Hold it upright and twist the cap one full turn to break the seal. Do not remove the cap; it stays on the tube.
- Ensure your cat is standing upright or lying comfortably with their back level.
- Part the fur at the base of the skull (the back of the neck) until the skin is visible.
- Place the tip of the tube directly against the skin and squeeze firmly to apply the entire contents in a single spot. For large cats, you can apply in two spots along the spine to prevent the liquid from running down.
⚠️ Important Veterinary Health & Safety Information
- Visual Description & Symptoms: The product consists of a single unit-dose applicator pipette packaged inside a sealed laminate pouch within a color-coded box. It is typically sought after when cats show clinical signs of external parasite burden, including intense head scratching, frequent biting at the fur, patchy hair loss (alopecia), or visible ticks attached to the skin.
- Three Alternative Treatment Options: Depending on your cat’s medical history or preference for oral medications, alternative solutions include:
- Credelio Cat or Comfortis (monthly oral chewable tablets for cats who dislike topical liquids).
- Revolution Plus or Advocate (monthly topical spot-ons that also include heartworm and intestinal worm prevention).
- Seresto Collar for Cats for sustained, continuous external collar-based defense.
- Three Potential Side Effects: While highly safe and widely tolerated by felines, monitor your cat for rare adverse reactions, which include:
- Localized skin reactions at the application site (temporary hair loss, redness, itching, or a greasy appearance of the fur).
- Gastrointestinal distress if the cat manages to lick the application site before it dries (transient salivation/drooling, vomiting, or temporary loss of appetite).
- Lethargy or mild sluggishness for a short period following application.
- Label Verification: Always verify the weight range and the expiration date on the packaging box before applying the dose. Safe for cats and kittens from 11 weeks of age weighing at least 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs). Do not use on cats with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.
