ENROFLOXAROM C 100 Tablets - Broad-spectrum anti-infections in respiratory disorders and kidney infections in dogs, cats and birds.
ENROFLOXAROM C 100 Tablets - Broad-spectrum anti-infective in respiratory disorders and kidney infections in dogs, cats and birds.
COMPOSITION for one 100 mg tablet:
Active substance: Enrofloxacin 5 mg / cp;
Excipients (lactose, starch, polyvinylpyrrolidone, carboxymethylcellulose, aerosil, talc, avicel and magnesium stearate) ad 100 mg.
Enrofloxacin is a broad-spectrum chemotherapeutic with strong antimicrobial action, even on antibiotic-resistant germs.
It is a fluorinated 4-quinolone derivative, part of the latest generation of synthetic quinolones, with a notable bactericidal activity on Gram-positive, Gram-negative germs, mycoplasmas and chlamydia.
The germicidal action is achieved by inhibiting the activity of the DNA-gyrase enzyme, with an important role in the synthesis of nucleic acids, causing the death of the bacterial cell.
TARGET SPECIES: Dogs, cats and birds (hens and pigeons and ornamental pigeons).
in dogs: in respiratory disorders;
in cats: in kidney infections (nephritis, cystitis) and fever;
in chickens: in respiratory disorders;
in pigeons: in salmonellosis.
It must not be used in young dogs up to the age of 12 months, in lactating or pregnant bitches, in dogs with a history of epilepsy and in chickens whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Do not administer to pigeons whose meat is intended for human consumption.
Increasing the dose of the drug leads to deformity of the articular cartilage.
ADVERSE REACTIONS: Rarely seen in dogs and cats: vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia and depression.
All tablets listed above are given 1 tablet per kg body weight per day.
The treatment lasts 3-7 days, depending on the severity of the condition, as follows:
dogs: 4-7 days;
cats: 3-7 days;
chickens: 3-5 days;
pigeons: 3-7 days.
It has antagonistic action with chloramphenicol, macrolides, tetracyclines, theophylline and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Body mass will be assessed correctly to avoid overdoses or underdoses.
Existing official and local regulations regarding antimicrobials should be taken into account when using the product.
Fluoroquinolones will be kept in reserve for treatments that respond poorly to clinical conditions or that respond poorly to other classes of antimicrobials.
Where possible, fluoroquinolones will be used based on sensitivity tests (antibiogram).
Using the product without following the instructions may increase the antibiotic resistance of bacteria to fluoroquinolones and decrease the effectiveness of treatment with other quinolones due to possible cross-resistance.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD Meat and offal (hens): 3 days after the last treatment.
